Collaborations for Youth Abound – But Collaboration Does Not

A new survey about community-based collaborations working on behalf of young people backs up what many leaders feel: Communities have lots of youth-focused coalitions, but those groups often don’t collaborate with each other.

“They are working in silos somewhat unaware of one another's initiatives,” said one respondent to the Collaborative Bodies in Communities Survey, conducted by the Forum for Youth Investment and the National Collaboration for Youth.
