Pathways into Leadership: A Study of YouthBuild Graduates, conducted by Tufts University's Center for Information and Research on Civic Learning and Engagement (CIRCLE), found that the overwhelming majority of graduates interviewed had "overcome extraordinary odds and challenges and transformed their identities, internalizing a profound ethic of service and citizenship." YouthBuild is a national network of programs helping low-income young people work toward their high school credential while learning job skills by building affordable housing and participating in leadership activities in their community. The report was shared at the White House Council on Community Solutions Summit at the White House. The full report and executive summary are available here.
