Ready by 21 Supports Promise Neighborhood Grant Applicants

The grants, from the U.S. Department of Education, support coordination across the education pipeline and throughout communities. To help communities think through the application process and the work to be carried out, the Forum prepared the Guide to Using Ready by 21 Strategies and Standards in a Promise Neighborhood Grant Application. The guide walks through language you can use in parts of the application to fully align your grant application with the Ready by 21 approach. In particular, the Ready by 21 Insulated Pipeline and the 4 Building Blocks for Community Change speak directly to application requirements in Planning Grant Priority 1, paragraph (2) and paragraph (4). The application deadline is Sept. 6.
