Information Update
May 5, 2016

Social and emotional learning must be accounted for if we want our youth to succeed. Empathy is just as important as English.

The David P. Weikart Center for Youth Program Quality, a division of the Forum, is working hard to shed new light on ways to equip youth with the valuable social and emotion skills they need.

On May 25, the Weikart Center will host a video chat on cultivating empathy, featuring expert practitioners and youth from Wyman and YW Boston. Click here to sign up for the session.

On June 28, leaders and practitioners in the Michigan area are invited to join an in-person conversation on social and emotional learning in educational leadership, hosted by Eastern Michigan University. Forum CEO Karen Pittman and Weikart Center staff will share the latest research from the SEL field.
