Welcome Aboard: Canada's B&G Clubs

The movement to improve the quality of youth services knows no borders: The Boys & Girls Clubs of Canada has joined the growing number of systems that use the Forum's Youth Program Quality Improvement (YPQI) process and Youth Program Quality Assessment tool (Youth PQA). The pilot program will cover 15 sites.

The YPQI is an evidence-based model that helps out-of-school time (OST) programs and systems implement a continuous improvement cycle of assessment, planning and improving. The Youth PQA is an observational assessment that gives those providers feedback about their instructional quality and workforce development needs. Read more here. Both are administered by the David P. Weikart Center for Youth Program Quality, a division of the Forum.

The BGCC has more than 100 member clubs serving more than 200,000 youth. The YPQI and YPQA are also used at Boys & Girls Clubs of America sites.
