Educators Discuss Ready by 21 and a City Engages Key Stakeholders

 
 

Education Leaders Share Ready by 21 Strategies
How does Ready by 21 help schools? Educators delivered the answer last week at the American Association of School Administrators' (AASA) National Conference on Education. Superintendents, school board members and others shared their experiences at a workshop entitled "How Ready by 21 is Re-Forming Communities." Listen to assessments of Ready by 21 (in under 60 seconds) by the superintendent of schools in Skokie, Ill., and an assistant superintendent in Bristol, R.I.

Partnerships and collaborations can take many forms. Whatever the scale of the partnership, effective partnerships are built on clear agreements about the scope of work to be done, the capacity needed to do the work and the mandate or authority in place to ensure that the work is done thoroughly and well.

After years of working with a wide variety of partnerships at the state and local level, the Forum for Youth Investment has concluded that communities and states need to consider a few basic components of partnerships. This webinar explained this leadership capacity area and what you can do to build broader, more effective partnerships. (Registration Required)
