Credentialed by 26 Challenge

The Ready by 21® National Partnership selected collaborations in four communities to participate in this Challenge (March-October, 2011). These collaborations committed to more intentionally supporting young-to-adult transitions and postsecondary success.

Each community receives training, coaching, tools, facilitation support, networking opportunities and a $5,000 grant to:

• Collect information about the status of young adults (based on education, employment and other indicators); supports available for older youth transitions; and community capacity to increase postsecondary completion rates.
• Engage key stakeholders (including young people) in focused dialogue about barriers to successful transitions and necessary supports.
• Identify short- and long-term opportunities to improve community capacity in this area of focus.
