State Challenges
Ready by 21 state challenges brought together leaders from selected communities for free training and technical assistance on Ready by 21 tools and strategies.
Teams from each community – made up of mayors, city managers, county executives, city/county council members, department heads, business leaders and leaders of local United Ways – convened for a multi-day training institute, where they assessed the state of their services for children and youth, and built their capacity to deliver a single, cohesive set of community-wide supports for children and families.
